2005 is a Pinoy Year

"Pinoy Ako, Pinoy Tayo... Ipakita sa mundo, kung ano ang kaya mo..."

This became the national anthem of the Pinoys in 2005.Though this was the "soundtrack" of the now famous PinoyBig Brother, the song apprarently builds its own name and fame to the masang Pinoy. Whether he or she is a fan of PBB or not.

Aside from the that, there were 2 other songs calling ournationalism and making a difference. The first was Pinoy Ako by Bamboo. And ironically (Bamboo's lead vocal Bamboo had his humble origins), Rivermaya has its version, Possible. The latter became the theme song of the recent SEA games.

Reminiscing...

I think the government should realize that non-stop bickering and too much politicking stains the nation as a whole. A look on the Philippines at 2005 displays the karaniwang tao to take part on his role and make the country proud.
A Championship at the recent SEA Games.Manny Pacquiao and 2 other boxers grabbing the belt from the Latinos.Precious Lara was named as the year's Miss International, bested 70 other beauty queens. A Filipina won the mobile filmmaking competition.

May 2006 be a better year for us.
Masarap ang maging isang Pinoy. Mabuhay! :)
