A Holiday At The Office

They say that if a holiday falls on a weekend, the Monday after it will be declared as a holiday. Obviously, today is a no-work day but I am wondering what makes this day different from the previous Mondays. Could it be because of political unrest? Could it be fears of another people power? Or because there was too much anticipation? I was afraid Friday was the start of another "rally", but luckily it was just another ordinary gimmick night.

I just hope people would take a bold step and take responsibility in reforming a stained society. The government's helpless and we, the 70M population must start to change within ourselves. Create a nation of discipline and principle and alleviate ignorance to the masses. Slowly, we infect the attitude of tradition with empowerment and unity. Then maybe a vision of Philippines becoming a better place to live in may not be a farfetched dream at all.

I maybe optimistic but I do know in every Filipino's hearts, his love for country will still linger.

Mabuhay ang araw ng Kalayaan. :)
